Diego Costa will sit out of Chelsea's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow night as he serve a one-game ban.

The Blues top scorer picked up his fifth booking of the season in Saturday’s goalless stalemate at Sunderland and must now pay the penalty.

Jose Mourinho otherwise has a full squad of players to choose from for the visit of Spurs and says he is happy to go with either Didier Drogba or Loic Remy up front.

He said: “We don't speak about Diego. We trust Remy and Drogba the same way we trust Diego.

"This is not our way of work. So forget Diego. We trust the other two and we go with the other two.

“A big game, a London derby, a good team, one of the top teams in the league. We like it. I don't know my record [against Spurs]. I don't think it's important. I don't even speak with the players about it because it's not important.”

Meanwhile, Mourinho has hinted he is ready to offer Chelsea captain a contract extension when his current deal expires at the end of the season.
