Brentford forward Sergi Canos, currently on loan from Liverpool is fully aware of what the west London derby means to the fans.

The Bees round off their home campaign at Griffin Park on Saturday and the 19-year-old is fully aware of what is expected of him.

The Spaniard has learnt from previous derby days against QPR and Fulham about the intensity of these fixtures and is determined to give Brentford fans bragging rights.

Canos said: “I'm looking forward to playing in that game. I know what it means to the fans and the supporters.

“You don't know until you play that game how important it is for the supporters. Now, I know that it's a very big game and I'm determined to win.”

Brentford's squad have made a vow to try and finish in the top 10 in the Championship and beating both Fulham and Huddersfield on the final day will be enough to do so.

Canos added: “I hope to finish the season well and we win both games. I know the Fulham game is very important for the fans and everyone at the club.”
