Neil Warnock is ready to become Brentford’s new boss – but only on a one-season basis to start with.

The former QPR manager has been out of work since he left Leeds in April, but sources close to the coach who celebrated his 65th birthday last Sunday, admit the well-run Bees have caught the eye.

The source said: “Neil has a few irons in the fire – and he’s aware the squad Uwe Rosler leaves is in good shape. Brentford also has a good structure behind the scenes.

“If the club was willing to to give it a go for this season then it would be good to talk.”

Brentford have already received SIXTY enquiries about the vacant post, with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink the early favourite for the job.
