Thomas Christiansen was not happy with how his side dealt with Fulham's early threat at Elland Road.

The Leeds boss knows the Whites are one of the best sides in the Championship and felt his side gave them too much space in the opening stages.

But Christiansen was pleased with the way his side adapted after a shaky start and felt they deserved more from the game.

He said: "I believe the team played a very good game. We have to recognise we played against one of the best teams in this league.

"They started well and we were not fast enough. We didn't close the spaces and their short passing was good.

"At the end of the first half we controlled it more, closed the spaces and I thought we deserved more.

"We needed to correct some things on the pitch and at half-time we used the moment to explain what we needed.

"The players understood that perfectly. We dominated the situation and didn't let them play as they wanted."
