STEVE LOVERIDGE booked Hanworth Villa a place in the Anagram Record Trophy semi-finals with a winner 10 minutes from time on Saturday.

Loveridge, who only recently re-joined the club from Egham Town, struck to settle the quarterfinal tie against Essex Senior League side Takeley 1-0 in Villa's favour.

The game was played at the third time of asking having been postponed two weeks in succession.

All of which means Villa have fallen behind in their Combined Counties Division One programme and have slipped to third, but with games in hand on the top two.

They resume league action on Saturday when Farnham Town visit Rectory Meadow.

Meanwhile, Villa's Sunday D side reached the Riverside Junior Cup Final, with Steve Little's winner 15 minutes from the end of extra-time settling their tie with Armenian Youth Association 2-1 in Villa's favour.
