Dickson Etuhu's 87 th minute strike rescued a point for Fulham in a pulsating encounter at Bloomfield Road this afternoon.

All looked lost for Mark Hughes' men when John Pantsil's 71 st minute own goal cancelled out Bobby Zamora's 35 th minute opener and Luke Varney's 75 th minute finish put the Tangerines in dreamland.

However, Etuhu took Moussa Dembele's slide-rule pass in his stride before clipping the ball over Matthew Gilks to ensure a third straight Premier League draw for the Cottagers.

Dembele was also the provider for Fulham's first. He took Damien Duff's searching pass down the left and delivered a pin-point cross for Zamora to power home a header from close range.

Blackpool piled on the pressure after the break and were rewarded in the 71st minute, albeit fortuitously. New signing Varney's hopeful shot cannoned off Aaron Hughes into the path of Pantsil and the defender bundled it into his own net.

Five minutes later Ian Holloway's new boys were in dreamland when Varney ghosted between Brede Hangeland and Hughes before coolly picking his spot past David Stockdale.

Fulham, who played well in bursts, kept plugging away and they snatched a point when Etuhu raced clear beyond the tiring Tangerines defence before despatching the ball past an exposed Gilks.
