Lasse Vibe is looking to master the Championship with Brentford, while walking away with a Masters from Copenhagen Business School in finance.

The Dane is looking forward to testing himself at Griffin Park and is looking forward to the physical test of the Championship.

He said: “I'm fast and like going for goals and creating them. In the teams I've played in I've done quite well.

“I'm not a physical player which will be interesting as the Championship is a physical league. I have good finishing skills.

“One of my best skills is that I'm good at adapting to my team-mates so I know how and where to run.

“I'm not going to be the playmaker; that's not my best skill, but I'm working on that part. I'm a technical player and trying to improve those areas.”

Vibe scored 31 goals in 52 games for IFK Goteborg before moving to Griffin Park, but warned fans that he expects to be playing a different role at the club.

He added: “I'm playing on the left or right hand side. I can play behind a big striker if we wanted a number 10 that can go in the pockets more and doing the diagonal runs.

“You can play me on the left, you can play me on the right. For the national team, I've played on the right. For clubs playing 4-4-2, I play behind the striker.”

He added: “I've been working with pressure my whole life. People expect more when you score goals. If people expect a right winger to score a hat-trick, they'll do what they have to do.

“I'm focusing on making my team look good and making my manager happy. If I'm the one scoring the goals or making assists I'm happy. I'm happy to do my best for the team.

“My scoring record in Gothenberg is because I got a free role playing a striker and I'm not in that position. I'm not expected to do 1.5, 1.8 goals a game.”

Vibe has made his claim at being the squad's most intelligent player after it emerged he is undertaking a Masters at Copenhagen Business School.

The Dane revealed: “I am doing my masters thesis in finance and accounting. I'm turning in my paper in two months hopefully and travelling back to Copenhagen in two or three months to defend my thesis.

“Hopefully, I'll have a Masters degree in finance or accounting. It's taken me five years.

“I'm doing a leverage buyout, which is a private equity fund, buying a company, paying down the debt and selling it again. It's a Danish registered company. Hopefully I'm turning it in in September then going back to defend it.”

Brentford's recruitment team only heard about Vibe's extra-curricular activities before signing the deal, causing some panic, before everything was clarified.
