Lasse Vibe's brace was of absolutely no consolation to him after Brentford threw away two points in injury-time at QPR.

The Bees were cruising as the clock ticked past 90 minutes thanks to Vibe's first strikes of the season and Dean Smith's side looked set to continue their recent good form against the Rs.

But a defensive capitulation allowed Matt Smith and Luke Freeman to stun Brentford and pull it back to two-two.

Vibe was left to watch the action unfold from the bench, after being replaced by Neil Maupay straight after his second goal, and he was struggling for words to describe his feelings shortly after the final whistle.

"Not really, no. It's too soon," Vibe said when asked to sum up his feelings by Sky Sports

"[We were] buzzing two minutes ago and screaming for a clean sheet; it feels like we have left with nothing.

Josh Egan looks dejected after Freeman's equaliser in the 94th minute

"[It] just didn't go our way. We stopped playing. [There] might have been a foul in the build up - it doesn't matter now."

Vibe was in no mood to chat about his double either, saying it 'didn't feel' like a silver lining after the gutting end.

"You would have thought so, but it doesn't feel like that now," he added.

"This season is about getting points on the board, we want to be up there - nothing else matters."

Victory would have seen the Bees rise to tenth in the Championship table, six points off the play-offs, but instead they remain 14th, eight points behind Derby County in sixth.
