CHELSEA booked their place in the Champions League quarter-finals despite a frustrating night at Stamford Bridge .

The Blues couldn't add to their 2-0 lead from a fortnight ago as they were held to a bore draw by the Danes.

The hosts dominated the first 45 minutes, but they couldn't find a breakthrough.

Yuri Zhirkov twice missed the target from close range, while Nicolas Anelka was denied by Johan Wiland.

And it was the visitors who came closest when Dame N'Doye hit the post with a 20-yard free-kick midway through the half.

John Obi Mikel headed over from six yards after the break, while Wiland did well to hold Anelka's long-range drive.

Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti threw on Fernando Torres with half an hour to go as the hosts went in search of a winner.

But the Spanish star couldn't inspire a lacklustre Chelsea to victory.
