Karl Henry says he is "privileged" to have represented QPR following his release from the club.

Posting on his Twitter account, Henry said: "Thank you, Queens Park Rangers for an unforgettable four years!

"QPR is a special football club and i feel privileged to have represented you. I've been fortunate enough to play under a number of excellent QPR managers and coaches and alongside some outstanding footballers. More importantly, I've had the pleasure of working with genuinely nice people on a daily basis.

"I would like to say a huge thank you to the fans! Your support during my time at the club has always meant a lot to me. I've been fully committed every time I've pulled on a Queens Park Rangers shirt and it's nice to know that it's been appreciated.

"The Chairman, Tony Fernandes, is a class act who is desperate to take the club back to the Premier League (where it belongs). I have no doubt that you will succeed soon! Thank you for everything!

"I wish Les, Ian, the lads and everybody else at QPR, the best of luck in the future."
