QPR want to know sooner rather than later whether Junior Hoilett will sign a new deal, says manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Galatasaray have been interested in signing the out of contract Canadian international, who has been stalling over terms offered.

And Rangers have now set Hoilett a deadline of when they want to know his future plans.

The Rs head coach said: “We have offered Junior a very good deal. The ball is in his court. There has been a deadline set.”

Hoilett joined QPR in 2012 under Mark Hughes and has been hit and miss during his four years at Loftus Road.

He did score the club's goal of last season during the 3-0 win over Brentford in March - see above video. In total, Hoilett has started 112 league games for Rangers and scored 12 goals.

Sandro is another player whose future is up in the air and Hasselbaink confirmed that he was back in training with QPR after failing a medical at Sporting Lisbon last month.

But the chances of the ex-Spurs player being included in Rangers plans were made plain.

The Dutchman added: “He came back on Tuesday. You'll have to ask his agent (regarding his future).”
