FULHAM boss Martin Jol insists he's in no rush to make a decision on the future of veteran midfielder Giorgos Karagounis .

The 36-year-old Greek has been a revelation since joining the Whites on a short-term deal in September after being brought in as cover for the injured Mahamadou Diarra .

Karagounis has gone on to make 22 appearances for Fulham, forming a formidable partnership with Steve Sidwell in the engine room.

But boss Jol says he will wait before deciding whether to offer the former Inter Milan midfielder fresh terms.

“He's playing like a young dog,” said the Dutchman. “We are lucky to have him.

“I am surprised how well he's done, but that was the gamble we took.

“Time is on our side, of course, because he will not go for £5million or £6m to another club.

“But, on the other hand, I do not want to see him go to other clubs. He is happy here.”
