MARTIN Jol has challenged Hugo Rodallega to hit double figures this season.

The Colombian striker was on the scoresheet in Saturday’s pre-season friendly with Deportivo Saprissa as Fulham completed their Costa Rican tour with a 5-3 victory on penalties.

Rodallega managed just three goals in 33 games last season after moving from Wigan and has not hit the 10-goal mark since 2010.

However, Whites boss Jol has thrown down the gauntlet to the 27-year-old to take the heat off Dimitar Berbatov .

He said: “People at Fulham only tend to score three, four or five goals, so I was very happy with Berbatov scoring more than any other striker over the last eight years.

"Hugo is a goalscorer and I feel he should get at least 10 goals, so that is something we have to work on.

“He will say ‘boss I didn’t play all the matches’, so you’ve got to look at it from both sides.”

Fulham continue preparations for the new campaign with two games at Craven Cottage next month.

They face Spanish side Real Betis on Monday, August 5, before Italians Parma visit five days later.

Advance tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for under-16s. Family packages are available via www.fulhamfc.com/tickets .
