MARTIN Jol has played down speculation linking star striker Dimitar Berbatov with a move away from Fulham.

The Bulgarian frontman's agent Emil Danchev revealed this week that there was interest from Russia in the 32-year-old, who has scored 13 times this season.

Berbatov, a £5million signing from Manchester United last summer, still has 12 months remaining on his contract at Craven Cottage.

And boss Jol believes it would take a massive offer to prise Berbatov away from SW6.

“I don't see a problem, I haven't heard anything off Dimitar,” said the Dutchman.

“They would have to come up with a lot of money for a 32-year-old to get him away from this club.

“I don't think that will happen. He wants to stay.”
