FULHAM will face Chelsea tomorrow night knowing they could be left with just one permanent midfielder in the summer.
Whites boss Martin Jol admitted his club are ready 'to do something' to either get new faces or extend the contracts of those he's got.
Steve Sidwell (pic) is the one player with a long-term contract, but up to 10 others scattered around the squad are either loans or permanent deals set to expire in July.
He added: “In midfield we could do something in the summer with loan players returning and others out of contract. Sidwell is the only one on a long-term contract.”
One of those wondering about his future, Mahamadou Diarra, is missing with a long-term leg problem, and although also absent, winger Ashkan Dejagah’s surgery on a damaged ankle went well this week.
Jol added: “We’re pleased, and we hope to see him back June or July.”
Damien Duff is also out with a thigh strain picked up during the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday, and unlikely to feature in the week's second London derby against Arsenal on Saturday as well.
