Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been spotted taking charge of QPR training this morning ahead of the formal announcement of his appointment as manager.

Pictures are circulating of the Dutchman watching over the R's squad at the club's training base in Sipson Lane, Harlington, in a full Hoops tracksuit.

Hasselbaink is set to be named the new man in charge at Loftus Road later this morning and will replace Chris Ramsey at the helm following his sacking by the Championship outfit.

After an illustrious playing career, the 43-year-old began life as a manager in Belgium after taking charge of Royal Antwerp in May 2013 and led the club to a seventh-place finish.

A hugely-successful stint in charge of the Brewers followed, which saw him win promotion last term and guide the club to the top of League One this season, earning him the admiration of QPR chairman Tony Fernandes.
