Jermaine Jenas remains indebted to Nottingham Forest - but the QPR midfielder will be out to dent their play-off hopes this evening.

The 30-year-old came through the ranks at the City Ground and returned to his boyhood club on loan last year after an injury-ravaged spell with Aston Villa.

Jenas faces his former employers for the first time tonight but won't let sentiment stand in the way of helping Harry Redknapp's side get back on track following the loss to Leicester at the weekend.

He said: "I owe everything to Forest. They gave me the grounding, not only as a footballer but as a young man as well. I’ve always had a great relationship with my hometown club.

“In my first spell at Forest I spent the first half of the season there until Christmas and then was gone. I went for three months this time and still haven’t completed a full season.

“It was unbelievable to go back there and the fans were great. They gave me my confidence back and were constantly singing my name. I hope I'll still get a good reception this time."
