JAMIE Mackie has stepped up his recovery from a broken leg after being given the go-ahead to return to full training.

The QPR striker has been sidelined since suffering a horrific double break in the FA Cup clash with Blackburn in January.

But specialists have told the 25-year-old Scotland international he can resume sessions with the rest of his QPR team-mates, although he won't be up to speed in time to face Aston Villa on Sunday.

Boss Neil Warnock has no fresh injury worries, and is likely to stick with the same starting XI which beat Wolves last weekend.

Keiron Dyer (foot) misses out.
