QPR defender Jack Robinson has recalled his goal-scoring double against Birmingham City, calling it 'an amazing feeling'.

Robinson's efforts led the Hoops to a long-awaited away victory at St Andrews, and he said that it was crucial to pull away from the drop zone ahead of a hectic Christmas period.

Describing his goal-scoring exploits, Robinson said: "It was an amazing feeling. I wasn't expecting two, I was just expecting one but it was an incredible feeling and I'm very happy.

"The first I got a good leap and knocked it in, the second one I just knocked it to the side, had a bit of space and I've just hit it as hard as I can and it's ended up in the bottom corner.

"It was just one of those strikes where if you hit it sweetly you know it's going in, and it was just one of those days.

"It was a six-point game for us. We were getting closer to the relegation zone which is something we don't want to slip into so three points away from home was massive for us and hopefully we can kick on against Bristol City.

"It lifted the spirits, you can see it. I think we just needed that win and it was massive for us."
