Brentford had more injury problems ahead of tonight's Carling Cup tie at Swansea City.
Midfielder/full-back Frankie Artus, who is on loan from Bristol City, was struck down with a hamstring injury in training on Monday.
On the bright side, midfielder Gary Smith, who injured his ankle in a training ground accident last Thursday, will not be out for as long as first feared and could return in a few weeks, along with striker Charlie MacDonald.
There is less positive news surrounding left-back Ryan Dickson though, who it was hoped would be back in first team contention by now.
No return date has been set as his back injury needs to be given time to heal properly.
