QPR bpss Ian Holloway says that the amount of signings the club has made in the past may be having an adverse affect on their transfer activity this summer.
The Hoops have only made one signing so far this summer in the shape of former Barnsley man Josh Scowen, but Holloway is insistent that the work is going in behind the scenes to find the right players for the team.
He said: "I understand why people are saying ‘why aren’t we making signings?’, but we’ve made too many in the past and they might be inhibiting me now because we haven’t got the money.
"We’re trying to build an identity of what we want to do, and it’s not easy but i’m pleased with everyone who took part on Saturday and showed a really good attitute.
"The work’s going on in the background but we’ve got to be patient."
