QPR striker Conor Washington has been praised by manager Ian Holloway after his 'magnificent' opener against Wolves.

The Northern Ireland international's form has been inconsistent so far this term, but Ollie was quick to hail the front-man's impact on the team.

He said: "Conor was magnificent, absolutely. He started running around, moving, he’ll go on the left, he’ll go on the right and hallelujah. All of my front three normally score, and that’s what I keep telling him. I’m delighted for him.

"What a brilliant finish, almost out of nothing, and that’s what he’s got in his locker. He’s an international striker, I want him to keep going and I hope he realises I have helped him because he had one in 42 when I came.

"Hopefully Matt Smith helps him, hopefully Sylla helps him, but it’s all about the balance up front."
