Queens Park Rangers slipped to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bristol City on Saturday.

First half goals from Marlon Pack and Jamie Paterson did the damage, with a late, late Idrissa Sylla strike proving to be merely a consolation.

And manager Ian Holloway was not impressed.

He said: "That was inexplicable.

"If you get a free-kick when you're 2-0 down, you know the next goal is absolutely vital. You should run to the ball, get it put it down and play it as quick as you can and we let a Bristol City player pick it up twice and walk backwards with it.

"If I had a blue and white shirt on I wouldn't have allowed that.

"I show some fight and fire, I've absolutely ripped their faces off about that because that can't be, that can't be right.

"How can I defend the undefendable?

"Where's my boys' fight, the urgency? They [Bristol City] didn't even have to work to score the goals. The first is pathetic from our point of view, it drops down to the edge of the box and the bloke can have a free shot.

"We played that offside thing again [for the second] and it was absolutely awful. Then I expected a change in the impetus in the game and it went out like a wet firework."
