MARK Hughes has hinted he could stick with Shaun Derry for Saturday's relegation six-pointer at Bolton.

With Samba Diakite suspended, the QPR midfielder returned to the starting line-up for last weekend's draw with Everton.

Hughes has Mali international Diakite available again after he served a one-match ban, but the Rs boss may keep faith with the veteran in the middle of the park after an impressive display against the Toffees.

He said: “Shaun Derry came in and I think he used his experience and understood what was required of him.

“That's what we need, we need steady heads, we need people who understand what it takes to win football matches and I think we have that in abundance now.”
