The club proudly proclaimed it's new crest we also unveiled last week, only to get a hefty thumbs-down from Get West London Facebook readers.
The biggest put down came from those who know a fair bit about their team as well as a bit of entomology - knowledge of insects for those wondering.
The Brentford bee is a couple of legs short of the regulation six, as can be seen.
However, the club admits it knew along, and have defended the design.
A spokesman said: "The Club worked with our designers all the way through the process and are happy with the final crest."
The original Brentford press release announced: "During the past 18 months we engaged with a wide range of fans and stakeholders within the Club about our crest and received a clear mandate to look at change."
The Brentford Independent Association of Supporters (BIAS) also offered its view.
On a recent BIAS posting they wrote: "While the BIAS committee have played a part in the consultation process, we did not at any point endorse or agree to any particular Crest design.
"We also suggested the wider supporter base were consulted on potential designs."
