Former Wycombe Wanderers striker Leeyon Phelan struck seven goals as Bedfont Sunday thrashed Stanwell 18-1 in the Harry Edmondson Premier Cup on Sunday.

Gary Brothers also smashed in five, while Paul Cooney and Mark Smith chipped in with two each.

Goals from Lewis Clare and Carl Buckley completed the rout, in which Bedfont scored five times in the opening seven minutes.

The Reserves were no slouches either, winning 6-1 at Ashview Rangers in the West Middlesex League Intermediate.

Mitchell Osbon bagged a second-half hat-trick after first-half goals from Harry Andrews, Jamie Field and Jason Kettles put Bedfont in the driving seat.

And to complete a fine day for the club, the A team won 5-1 at Northolt Manor in the Middlesex County Sunday Junior Trophy, with Simon Lamb another hat-trick hero.

The previous day, Bedfont Sports recovered from a fifth-minute red card for Mark Smith to beat Harrow St Marys 2-1 in the Middlesex County Senior Open Cup.

Goals from Scott Sheridan and Neville Barrett did the damage.

But the Reserves went down 4-3 to Elm Grove Reserves, despite leading 2-0 after seven minutes through Jason Butler and Harry Driver, who later grabbed a second.
