Rangers are hammering at the door to the play-offs after securing back-to-back away wins in the Championship for the first time this season.

Two more goals for the in-form Heidar Helguson set the Hoops on their way to a convincing 3-0 win at Blackpool on Tuesday night. Hogan Ephraim hit the third goal for Paulo Sousa's men in the final minute.

Helguson opened the scoring in the 17th minute at Bloomfield Road and converted a penalty after 58 minutes to put Rangers firmly in charge against the Seasiders.

It was a good night for Lee Camp, who is back after a loan spell at Nottingham Forest. He played for Rangers for the first time this season because of a hamstring injury to regular starter Radek Cerny and emerged with a heartening clean sheet.

The win, coming soon after a morale-boosting 2-0 win at Derby County, should put the Rs in good heart for two crunch games at Loftus Road this week. They take on second-placed Reading on Saturday, then face Swansea City, who are one point and one place behind in the table.

Lee Cook will miss the game against the Swans after picking up his fifth booking of the season to activate a one match ban.

The Rs are level on points with sixth-placed Cardiff City, although behind on goal difference and having played two games more than the Welshmen. The Bluebirds can extend their advantage tonight at Coventry City.
