Hayes & Yeading will take action against Jamie Young and Charlie Wassmer after the pair clashed on the pitch during United’s defeat to Bath City.

Goalkeeper Young and centre-back Wassmer were involved in an angry confrontation following Bath’s second goal in a 2-0 win for the visitors at Kingfield on Tuesday.

United assistant manager Tristan Lewis called the tangle a ‘disgrace’ and revealed the club will be dealing with the incident in the coming days.

He said: "It was a disgrace, an embarrassment. The club is bigger than all of us and for them to do that while wearing a Hayes shirt is nothing short of a disgrace. They’ll be dealt with. We can’t have that.

“There’s paying supporters, who’ve travelled a long way, to watch what can only described as a debacle. Then, to top it off, you’ve got two players rowing over the second goal. If they want to fight they can go into a boxing ring and do it. There’s no place for that here.”

The defeat was Hayes & Yeading’s fifth consecutive loss as Phil Babb’s slide have slid down to 15th place in the Skrill South table.
