A Fulham junior team player survived an alleged bite from an opposition player on Sunday-but recovered to help steer his team through to the next round of the SurreyYouth County Cup.

Right-back Ben Myles of Fulham Wanderers was the victim of the claimed chomp to his arm during a feisty encounter at Welling Wanderers, yet he and his team-mates bared their own fangs to come from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in dramatic fashion.

Ryan Dixon rounded the Welling keeper on his debut for number one before Jack Pullen brought the sides level.

A fantastic free-kick from Michael Klass with only two minutes left settled the tie to see his team progress to the next round on October 19. [25cf] HARRY WYATT is unlikely to feature for Fulham Wanderers for the next month at least in the Surrey Youth League Premier Division after breaking his elbow before the season started.

The centre back missed the opening 2-1 defeat to Worcester Park,before winning their second 2-0 against Epsom Eagles Colts 2-0 with goals from Cory Watson and Jack Pullen.
