TOM Hitchcock has been set a challenge – score at QPR and you stay – if not try again at another club on loan.

The 20-year-old son of Kevin, Rangers’ keeper coach, popped up just when needed to hit the winner in the 90 th minute against Ipswich last week.

But the striker whose played all his senior football in the lower leagues looks set for another stint in at the likes of Bristol Rovers, unless he can hit the net a second time over the next couple of weeks according to his boss.

Harry Redknapp (pic) said: “He’s a young player and we’ll see what the next week or two brings.

“If he’s not in the side and we loan him out, he hopefully scores some goals. If he gets in the team and keeps scoring goals here, then we’ll keep him here.

“But for sure, he was in the right place to score against Ipswich.”
