QPR have discovered Adel Taarabt is a luxury they can do without after winning back-to-back games minus the Moroccan’s mercurial talents.

His boss already hinted Taarabt’s (pic) injury problems that kept him out of the squad that beat Sunderland 3-1 last week were minor to the point of non-existent.

And although Harry Redknapp claims he missed recent TV criticism from Alan Shearer on Taarabt’s effectiveness in front of goal, the manager pretty much agreed with the former England striker.

In effect, Rangers are better off having out-and-out strikers in Loic Remy and Bobby Zamora than the distant threat posed by Taarabt.

Redknapp explained: “Adel did well when he played there but he’s not an out-and-out striker, but now we have two front men in Bobby and Remy.

“Adel likes to cut in from the left, or midfield, but his goals are going to come from dribbles or spectacular shots.

“He’s not going to get in the box and get tap-ins, and that’s where Remy and Bob just might nick a goal for you.”
