QPR boss Harry Redknapp reckons he will avoid his home in Poole down the road  if his team loses to Bournemouth tomorrow night.

“I’ll doubt I want to go home if we don’t win,” joked Redknapp, but is nevertheless proud of the club where he cut his managerial teeth 30 years ago.

He said: “They’ve come on, and now have a Russian owner who has put money into the club.

“And £3.5m for a player? You never thought you would see Bournemouth play £3.5m for a player. It’s a lovely little stadium as well with a new training ground and they’ve done well.”

Harry and co plan to keep the aforesaid £3.5m Tokelo Rantie quiet after a surprise defeat to Doncaster on Saturday, with the manager facing only his second outing against his former club.

“I remember we played them when I was at West Ham in the League Cup – but I can’t remember any others,” he added.
