HARROW Borough has joined forces with Acton Ealing Whistlers Youth to field a new U18s side for next season.
The team, which will compete in the Ryman Youth League, will contain a core of players from the Whistlers, which has 14 sides in the Harrow Youth League.
The Whistlers won the Surrey Youth League Premiership South title last season and the newlymerged team with Harrow will be managed by Peter Proverbs and Darren Toddington, who have been at Acton for 15 years. The side will play its home games at Earlsmead.
Meanwhile, Harrow Borough is holding trials to seek out future players over the weekends of June 27-28 and July 18.
First team boss David Howell, said: "Harrow Borough and Acton Ealing Whistlers will be working closely together in the coming seasons to provide opportunities for young players in the area.
"This partnership can only be good for youth football in West London and hopefully it will help to support and strengthen reserve and first team football at Harrow Borough Football Club."
