Having scored a crucial goal last week while awaiting overdue fatherhood - Anthony Gardner celebrated being a new dad for all of 36 hours with the winner for Hanworth City Reserves on Sunday.

Not only that, but his goal earned City local bragging rights with a 2-1 victory over Hanworth Villa Sunday D.

Villa took the lead, but City drew level just before the break when an Ashley Bertram cross was put through his own net by a Villa defender.

And the scores stayed level until 15 minutes from the end when City won a penalty, and up stepped Gardner to wet the baby's head with the winner from the spot.

* MARK CONCANNON bagged his second hat-trick for Whitton Celtic as they thrashed The Grey Horse 8-0 on Sunday.

Strike partner Joe McCarthy also bagged a brace in the West Middlesex League Division Two clash.

Owen Martin opened the floodgate with a spectacular effort from the edge of the box, while Dean Carr and Nicky Bishton made the scoresheet too.
