Keeper Ben Hamer has shouldered the blame for his sending off as Brentford crashed out of the FA Cup on Friday night.

Hamer held his hands up and admitted he had no complaints with the red card after sliding out of the area with the ball in his hands.

Brentford went on to lose 2-1 at Barrow, with youth team keeper Lloyd Anderson going in goal.

Bees boss Andy Scott said: "Ben knows he made a mistake. He should have kicked it, he made a poor decision."

Anderson found himself back in goal for the rookies last night as they crashed out of the FA Youth Cup to Middlesbrough.

The Bees went out 2-1 in the third round tie at Griffin Park, in which Lewis Ochoa scored one penalty and missed one too.
