Halloween is upon us and the omens are good for Chelsea.

The Trinity Mirror data unit has taken Premier League matches played on, and a day either side of October 31 since the start of the league in 1992.

The Blues dominate the eerie holiday with an impressive win ratio of 67 per cent, scoring 20 goals in nine games and conceding just eight.

That's an average of 2.2 goals scored per game.

They were in their most fiendish form against Sunderland at Stamford Bridge in 2008, as they eviscerated the Black Cats 5-0.

In 2009, they hammed Bolton 4-0 and thumped West Brom 4-1 back in 2004.

The omens are not so good for QPR, who make the short trip across west London to face the Blues at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

They have won just one of the three Premier League matchers they have played around Halloween scoring three and conceding five.

The statistics also show there is likely to be a positive result at Stamford Bridge.

Neither Chelsea or QPR have drawn a Premier League game when they have played on or a day either side of October 31.
