Bedfont Green threw away the chance to return to the top of the Combined Counties Premier on Tuesday night. Victory of any kind at home to North Greenford United would have seen them leapfrog leaders Epsom & Ewell on goal-difference.
But Dennis Bainborough's side remain second after going down 2-1.
Three days earlier,Chris Henry had kept Green in the hunt with a last-minute winner at Badshot Lea to give his side a 3-2 victory.
Badshot had been one of only three teams to defeat Green this season, and it looked like history would repeat itself when the home side took a second-minute lead.
Gavin Hart though he had levelled with a fine effort which was ruled out for offside, and it fell to Jon-Barrie Bates to bag the equaliser with a cracking volley after playing a one-two with Henry.
Carl McLusky, Russell Miner and Craig White all went close for Green before Badshot took the lead again with 18 minutes left.
But White levelled a minute later, and it fell to Henry to take the match-winning honours with a last-gasp strike after being fed by Miner.
