Gordon Strachan has praised Fulham's Tom Cairney ahead of his first call-up to the senior Scotland squad next weekend.
The 26-year-old was called up the squad for the first time for their friendly against Canada at Easter Road on March 22 and their World Cup qualifier against Slovenia on March 26 at Hampden Park.
Cairney has previously represented Scotland at U19 and U21 level, making his debut at U21 level against Sweden and going on to play six times.
Scotland currently sit in fifth position in Group F having won once, drawn once and lost twice, six points off England who top the table.
Speaking about Cairney, Strachan said: "Tom Cairney was the best man on the pitch at St James’ Park, but that was no surprise, he has been the best man on the pitch on many occasions."
Chris Martin has also been called up to the Scotland squad for the two games.
