Denis Odoi believes Slavisa Jokanovic's rotation of Fulham's full-backs is key considering the number of games the side have played this season.

The Cottagers have played 44 games so far this season in all competitions and face eight monumental matches as they look to finish the campaign in the play-off places, something they are currently a point outside of.

Jokanovic has a wealth of options at full-back and can chose from Ryan Fredericks, Scott Malone and Ryan Sessegnon, along with Odoi, each bringing different qualities to the side.

With talent like that in the right and left back slots, rotation has to be used to keep everyone happy, but Odoi believes that Jokanovic has implemented it to keep everyone fresh, but it hasn't affected the side because whoever plays there brings consistency to the team.

He said: "I think he rotated most with the fullbacks, because I think the heart of the midfield are mostly the same and maybe also on the wings he would've rotated because we had Lucas (Piazon) out with injury and Floyd (Ayite) was out too.

"I think it can be important because we play 46 games (in the league) and you can't underestimate that - you have the two cups too and guys going away on international duty.

Head over heels: Denis Odoi celebrates scoring

"Rotating can be important and as a coach, you want consistency in your team and I think the full backs have shown that whether one guy plays or the other, it's more or less the same and the wingers also.

"It keeps us sharp but of course everyone wants to play as many games as possible."

Fulham face seven out of their final eight games in the coming month, with their final game at Sheffield Wednesday who currently occupy the final play-off spot, but Odoi is focused on keeping that gap as small as possible.

He added: "We have to try to win every game and we'll see how it goes - I think it's important to keep the gap closed and who knows, maybe the last game will be decisive.

"If that is the game that will decide whether us or them are in the play-offs it will be a massive game but hopefully we'll be able to secure that spot before, but if not then we will that day."
