MARTIN Jol insists Kerim Frei has a future at Fulham – but plans to send the youngster on loan to get first-team experience.

The Turkey international has been linked with a £2million move to Galatasaray in recent weeks, and wasn't among the 18-man squad for Saturday's victory against Sunderland.

Frei featured just eight times for Fulham last campaign, spending a month at Cardiff City.

And boss Jol hopes to loan out the 19-year-old again this campaign to get regular first-team football.

He said: “Kerim is a young lad who's developing.

“He scored one goal in more than 25 matches, so he needs games.

“I would love to put him somewhere where he can play games and we can develop him, like we did with [Alex] Kacaniklic.”
