ALEX Kacaniklic will have a fitness test tomorrow ahead of Saturday's trip to Sunderland.

The Swedish star has been struggling with a hamstring injury, but is back in training and is fighting to be fit for the long hike to the Stadium of Light.

Fernando Amorebieta is a slight doubt after missing 10 days through injury, while fellow new signing Adel Taarabt is in contention, but is likely to be included among the subs as he continues to build up his fitness.

Keeper David Stockdale (thumb) is out, so Neil Etheridge will provide cover for number one Maarten Stekelenburg.
