FULHAM full-back Matthew Briggs faces three weeks on the sidelines after undergoing a hernia operation.

The young defender, who has featured twice this season, had surgery in Munich this week.

Boss Martin Jol said: "He's had a hernia operation. He will will be out for at least three weeks."
