Preston boss Alex Neil believes Fulham will offer the Lancashire side their biggest challenge of the season so far when the two sides meet at the Cottage.

Slavisa Jokanovic's side are three points behind the visitors in the Championship as the international break ends but come into the game on the back of a three-game unbeaten run, including wins at Nottingham Forest and QPR.

In this fixture last season, Fulham came out 3-1 victors, ending Preston's five-game unbeaten streak in what was a very impressive performance from the Cottagers, and Neil is a fan of the way the Whites play but thinks his side can go and get a result.

He said: "I think this will be our biggest challenge so far of the season.

"Tactically they are really difficult to play against.

"Fulham move the ball as well as anyone in this division, but if we go there and get it tactically right and the lads perform, there is no reason why we can’t win the game.

"This squad are a determined bunch, they believe and have an expectation as much as you
allow them.

"If you tell them they can beat anyone in this league and results are beginning to back up performances, they believe that."
