Shahid Khan is delighted a federal judge has overturned a presidential ban preventing Muslims from seven countries entering the USA.

Donald Trump had his veto quashed, and the Fulham owner who also owns NFL franchise Jacksonville Jaguars, feels somewhat happier today.

Speaking from last night’s Superbowl in Houston, Khan told the New York Times his relief at the lifting of the immigration order from the executive.

“The bedrock of this country are immigration and really a great separation between church and state," he said.

“Even for the country, it’s not good.

The only Muslim among principal owners of NFL teams, millionaire Khan reckons he’s had his eyes opened by recent events, especially as he voted for Trump.

“It’s a kind of a sobering time for somebody like me.

“We have to look at it based on what can we do to make a difference,” he said. “And right now, there are enough forces in power and play that we have to see how this thing ends up.”
