Floyd Ayite is facing time on the sidelines due to an ankle injury, Slavisa Jokanovic has confirmed.
The Togolese midfielder suffered the blow during Fulham's 1-1 draw with Burton Albion and he had to be carried off the pitch at the end of the contest.
And Jokanovic does not expect to see the summer signing from Bastia back in the Fulham squad until mid-October.
The Fulham boss said: “He (Floyd Ayite) has an ankle problem. He is going to need time to be ready for helping us again.
“I don't know exactly how much time we will be waiting, but he is going to have lost a few weeks.
“We would expect perhaps into the next international break. I am not sure right now as we are still assessing him, so it is not clear how many games or weeks we are going to be waiting for him.
“At the moment we are not thinking about surgery, but it is a bad kick and at the moment his ankle is so big with inflammation and we are waiting for more clear news.”
Sone Aluko is also struggling with ankle problems too and Ryan Fredericks is still out.
