Scott Parker has a place at Fulham for when he ends his career, if Slavisa Jokanovic gets his way.

The former England captain is in scintillating form at the moment and is an inspirational leader for a young Whites side.

The Serb allows Parker, because of his experience and form, to manage himself and is a huge admirer of the 36-year-old's leadership.

Parker is nearer the end of his career than the beginning but Jokanovic believes the midfielder can carry on as long as he feels is best for him.

The Fulham boss said: “Scott Parker is a different player with all the respect to the rest of the squad. He manages himself and pushes himself and he's back to being a leader in this team.

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic is gearing up for the visit of Huddersfield Town

“He's a very good football player and a very good person for his team-mates and for his family as well.

“All the credit for him about how he's working in the job and the games. I believe the team is more confident when he is on the pitch.

“He and I understand he's 36. It's not his best level but he improves himself in the last month.

“In the spring, when I'll be thinking about Scott Parker for next season or not and it's a question of when he wants to finish. He's a quality man and in front of him is his decision.

“He can play for a few years and he loves the beautiful game. I don't know what he'll do when he ends his playing career whether it will be coach or not but he'll be involved in the club 100 per cent.”
