Fulham have flown midfielder Lasse Vigen Christensen to Germany for treatment on a troublesome hamstring injury.

The Whites midfielder has been in the wars with setbacks to hamstrings on both legs that saw him miss a cluster of games since the New Year.

The Danish U21 international limped off just before half time in the 2-0 win over Derby two weeks ago, and the manager admits the 20-year-old is a miss they could do without against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Kit Symons added: “He’s over in Germany getting some treatment at the moment, and he’s not close at all (to a return)."

Wide-man Alex Kacaniklic is likewise sidelined for the second match running, but Jazz Richards is expected to resume at right-back after missing the forgettable 5-1 defeat to Bournemouth last Friday.

“We’re very hopeful Jazz will be fine,” Symons added.

The manager is expected to name a couple of changes for Hillsborough, not least a loan defender ‘with Championship experience’ expected to be announced imminently.
