This makes for heavy reading - but for those not suffering at the Amex - here's a few talking points.

Well done the 2,300 from the Cottage who turned up on a Friday night

The away support was the best thing on the night from a Fulham perspective, although it looked like it was down to 300 by the final whistle with only hardy annuals staying for the last rites.

The Fulham defence fell apart after the first goal

All the wind disappeared from away sails after Tomer Hemed scored from a dubious penalty. Even so, by the last 10 minutes they were l ucky to get away with 5-0 as any semblance of defending disappeared with the majority of fans.

Bettinelli pulled off a couple of decent saves or it could have been worse.

Piling in: Brighton nod home for 2-0

When Ross McCormack has an off night - there's no one to step in

One decent shot from the Scots hitman early on; a close Lasse Christensen effort well saved by David Stockdale, and a powerful hit from Emerson Hyndman, and that was that as far as Fulham chances went. Not much for 90 minutes, bearing in mind the last three games.

Marcus Bettinelli was going bananas at the last Brighton goal

Mainly because it looked to be offside as it took a Hemed deflection. He might have had a case, but he should have saved his tongue lashing for the team-mates in front of him.

Fair play to Jokanovic - he wasn't blaming the officials for a very bad night

By the time his post-match press conference kicked off, the boss could not have cared less about the first penalty. He did care passionately about a side that all but threw in the towel at 3-0.

He has much work to do in the summer.
