Fulham welcome Wolves to Craven Cottage on Saturday and Scott Malone reckons teams around the bottom find extra energy when they know their Championship lives are on the line.
Blackburn clawed their way out of the bottom three thanks to a point at the Cottage on Tuesday night in a game where they pressured Fulham high up the pitch, bagging a point courtesy of a last minute equaliser.
Wolves come to west London four points off the drop zone thanks to a win at Brentford in midweek and will be looking to put more breathing space between them and the bottom of the table with another three points.
Fulham will be looking to get into the play-offs again, and Malone believes teams that are languishing at the bottom are harder to play against than teams that are flying.
He said: "Wolves will be be similar to Blackburn, they'll be boisterous, in our faces and strong from back to front and I think we've struggled with that through the season.
"I think the last time I said that thought we went and won the next game at home so hopefully we'll do the same.
"Teams coming here now, like Blackburn and Wolves who are near the bottom, they're scrapping and seem they to find some extra energy from somewhere knowing they could go down.
"I think Wolves have gone clear now and the teams at the bottom this season are always hard but we have the quality to go and win the game so that's what we're going to do.
"I wouldn't say it's easier to play the better teams, but the teams at the bottom come with a bit more hunger because they have something to work towards, teams at the top are more confident but complacency can creep in so I'd say teams at the bottom are harder to play against."
