FULHAM won't stand in Ray Lewington's way if England and Roy Hodgson come calling.

So says Whites manager Martin Jol , who has given the green light for the club's youth development chief to hook up with the new Three Lions boss for this summer's European Championships.

However, Jol insists Fulham have received no contact from the FA about Lewington, who worked alongside Hodgson during his time at Craven Cottage .

He said: “We haven't [heard anything]. He worked with Ray before at this club and I can imagine they are a very good combination. It's not unthinkable that he would ask him to do something at the European Championships.

“It would be great for Ray and great for this club as well. It's only a couple of weeks and I think he would love to do it. For us it's not a problem.

“If they get in touch with us we will be positive.”
